Last week's program was a tall one.................19,341 feet to be exact, and Greg Podd was on hand to provide us with a private tour of his experience to the top! What a great program and what a great experience. Truly, a monumental lifetime achievement over both mental physical challenges.  I'm so jealous!  We are truly grateful to Greg for sharing his fantastic adventure.

This week's meeting will be hosted by Jake Duffy, our President-Elect, as Evie and I will be heading off to Kentucky to catch up with old friends and family, and then off to Washington, D.C. for a brief visit.  This week's speaker is Thomas Shannon, Scottsdale Fire Chief.

If anyone has an interest in attending the Club Leadership Academy (CLA), you still have time to register. This is a great program for any club member who may be thinking about becoming more involved in our club and Rotary in general. The program will be held in Phoenix this Saturday, April 21st.  Please go to www.rotary5495.org for details and to register. Our club will reimburse you for the registration fee.

Also, please make note of our Installation Dinner which is coming up on Thursday, May 10th.  Our dinner is being hosted by Craig & Julianne Rethwill at their home. We will have live musical entertainment which will add to an enjoyable evening for all. Our Installation Dinner is a mandatory function so you will be billed $50.00 per person whether you attend or not. Please RSVP "yes" or "no" to Evie by Tuesday, May 1st.  There will be no club meeting on the morning of May 10th.
