Last week we conducted our Club Assembly for the last quarter (April-June) of our Rotary year. Club assemblies are conducted two to three times per year to help clubs provide a vision and direction for club activities for the next few months.  They are also an opportunity for members to provide our board with recommendations for options to improve our club and explore new directions. A survey was distributed to all members in attendance and emailed to those members not in attendance to solicit member's input for exploring options for various aspects of our club, including dues, club focus, meetings per month, events, and traditions.  The results of member's responses are being tallied and will be presented and discussed at our April 10th board meeting.  The board meeting will be held at the Haberer's home (7329 E. Carol Way, Scottsdale 85260) at 5:30 PM.  All SSRC members are welcome to attend.  Please RSVP to Evie Haberer by Monday, April 9th if you plan to attend.  We also received an excellent activities update from two members of our Saguaro H.S. Interact Club, a great club with many activites which we should try to support whenever possible. On a sad note, Tom Billard resigned from SSRC this past week. Tom was a long-time member of our club where he held numerous responsibilities and made many contributions.  Our best wishes to Tom and Pam Billard.

This week we'll be treated to a visual climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro by Greg Podd.  Greg made his climb a few months ago, and I can't wait to hear about this monumental event!  Invite your friends to this unique opportunity.
