This week we will have several students who SSRC supported to attend RYLA in Heber last weekend. I am excited for them to share with us their experiences in mostly peer led sessions on leadership, public speaking, group activities and interactions with other students. Thanks to Mike Locher and Terry Kutzbach for interviewing the students and working with the Saguaro High School and Notre Dame Prep Interact club advisors.
The results for the Social Activity survey I passed out last week are in. Social Hour at a restaurant lead the voting with a Top Golf outing coming in second place. Thanks to all who filled out the survey. I will work between now and end of Rotary year to get another social hour together. Perhaps we can cap the year the way we started with a social hour with other local clubs. One member recommended inviting non-Rotarians or past club members which I think is an excellent idea. I will propose an action at our next Board meeting in early May.
John Wintersteen spoke about ethics at our last meeting. I loved the idea of the Rotary 4-way test coin to be included as part of the initiation of each member. In fact, I loved the idea so much that each active member will be receiving their personal Rotary coin by the end of this Rotary year!!
